Three must-win games for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2021

Kansas City Chiefs, Week 14

Las Vegas will be tested early and often throughout the season, the AFC West is one of the toughest divisions in the National Football League. The Raiders must first and foremost improve on their abysmal 2-6 home record in Las Vegas, but they must also make a serious run for the playoffs in 2021.

As the regular season comes to a close, the Raiders face a back-to-back road trip in which they should be deep in the hunt for a playoff berth. The beginning of that trip could potentially determine the team’s destiny, as they travel to Kansas City to face the losers of Super Bowl LV, the Kansas City Chiefs for a Week 14 matchup.

Luckily for Las Vegas, the game will for the first time in three consecutive seasons not come after a Chiefs bye week. Last season, Las Vegas was on their way to a season sweep of the Chiefs when a last minute blown coverage allowed Patrick Mahomes to hit Travis Kelce for the winning score.

The last-minute loss was a crushing blow to a Las Vegas team that never truly recovered, as they went on to lose four of the remaining six games, ending their playoff chances. As they embark on a mission to return to the winning ways that fans have been longing for, they must seek out revenge, and a Week 14 victory in a hostile Arrowhead can help with that.
