Las Vegas Raiders: 3 offseason moves that could backfire in 2021

Trading Rodney Hudson

The biggest shocker of the Raiders offseason happened up front along the offensive line, as the team completely revamped the unit in front of Derek Carr. However, the trading of Rodney Hudson was the biggest shock of them all, as he is one of the best in the NFL at his position and an anchor for the Silver and Black.

The Raiders ended up getting some draft capital back for Hudson, but trading him could prove to be a loss for Las Vegas. This is a guy who is currently in his prime and was under contract for next season, and I personally did not see this one coming at all.

To replace Hudson, the Raiders are going with Andre James or Nick Martin, with James not having much experience, and Martin starting most of his career for the Houston Texans. Neither player is as talented as Hudson, nor the leader that he is, so this is a move that could come back to haunt the Silver and Black before all is said and done.
