3 Reasons the Las Vegas Raiders will make the playoffs in 2021
The Young Guys Improve
Heading into 2021, over half of the Las Vegas roster will be made up of guys who were drafted or signed as undrafted free agents in 2017 or later. Much of the potential success in the 2021 season will depend on whether or not those young guys on the roster were able to improve in the offseason.
So far, the team has gotten good production from players like Kolton Miller, Josh Jacobs, Trayvon Mullen, Hunter Renfrow, and Maxx Crosby. However, players like Henry Ruggs, Damon Arnette, Johnathan Abram, and Clelin Ferrell still have room to grow.
Arnette, Abram, and Ferrell will all likely benefit from a new defensive coordinator that can hopefully use their skillsets accordingly. Ruggs, who has been working out and running routes with Derek Carr, has the potential to step in as a much-improved number one receiver in his second year.
If the players who needed to get better did, and if the already good players continued to improve their game, then the Las Vegas squad should be able to perform much better and make a push for the playoffs in 2021.
