Las Vegas Raiders: 3 UDFAs most likely to make the 53-man roster
West Virginia DT Darius Stills
No one in the NFL community knows why Darius Stills went undrafted. Throughout the draft process Stills was seen as a third or fourth-round pick, so if he works out, the Raiders might’ve gotten a huge steal here.
The only real knock on Stills is his size, which is weird because one of the top players in the entire league was looked at as small coming out of college in Aaron Donald. Stills comes in at 6’1 and 280 pounds, and while that is small for a nose tackle, his production or accolades were not affected by his size at all.
The past two seasons, Stills dominated, getting 72 tackles and 10.5 sacks, and aside from being a consensus All-American in 2020, he also won the 2020 Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year Award and was a semi-finalist for the Lott Trophy.
Yeah, the Raiders got a good one.
Although the Raiders almost completely rebuilt their defensive line this offseason, releasing both Maurice Hurst and Arden Key, they did sign veterans that still need to prove themselves like Solomon Thomas and Darius Philon.
However, Stills has a really good chance of beating out a couple of those players and making the 53-man roster with a good training camp and playing well in the preseason, something I believe is going to happen.
