Las Vegas Raiders: 3 games with the most interesting storylines in 2021

Raiders at Chiefs: Week 14

Don’t act surprised, at least one game (if not both) against the Kansas City Chiefs will always contain an interesting storyline. The historic disdain both franchises (and their fans) have for each other should be enough, but the fact that these two split the season series in 2020 makes this season that more interesting.

Who could forget Week 5 of last season, when Las Vegas emerged with the huge upset win over Kansas City, in Arrowhead Stadium, to the tune of 40-32. Derek Carr’s 72-yard touchdown throw to Henry Ruggs III and Jeff Heath’s 47-yard interception return off Patrick Mahomes was immediate highlights. Las Vegas could have very well pulled off the sweep, but narrowly lost 35-31 in Week 11 at Allegiant Stadium.

dark. Next. What to expect from Henry Ruggs in 2021

The contempt between these two franchises should be enough to make this worthwhile, but the fact that Las Vegas emerged victorious the last time they traveled to Arrowhead will make Week 14 that much more meaningful. Cold weather or not, Derek Carr led the Raiders to a win in their last outing, so the belief is that he’s exercised whatever “demons” the Chiefs’ stadium presented.
