Las Vegas Raiders: Predictions for the 2021 NFL Draft class

Round 5, Pick 167- Nate Hobbs- CB- Illinois

After being selected by the Raiders, Nate Hobbs stated that they were getting the best underdog that they have ever drafted. You have to love the attitude that Hobbs brings to the team, but unfortunately, I do not see him having much of an impact on the team.

If Hobbs sees much playing time next season, that means that something has gone wrong. The Raiders’ current cornerback group includes Trayvon Mullen, Damon Arnette, Casey Hayward, Isaiah Johnson, and Rasul Douglas.

The Raiders used a second-round pick on Mullen two years ago, a first-round pick on Arnette last season, and brought in Hayward this offseason. The Raiders have potential at the position, and they have put a lot of draft capital into it. Unfortunately for Hobbs, I do not see him being better than any of the players previously listed.
