Las Vegas Raiders: 3 AFC West rookies to be worried about in 2021

Los Angeles Chargers: Josh Palmer, WR

The Los Angeles Chargers held two first-round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft, and with one of them, they selected Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert. All Herbert did as a rookie is a step in and become a superstar, landing the league’s Offensive Rookie of the Year honor.

In 2021, he will look to build on that success, and in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft, the Chargers got him another weapon in the passing game. Herbert was already able to make do with the talent he had around him this past season, and Josh Palmer could be another deep threat he can utilize to continue to develop.

Palmer is an explosive player and one who should have no problem adjusting to the pro game. He and the likes of Keenan Allen and Mike Williams give Herbert a three-headed monster at wide receiver, and that is scary business for the Raiders. The secondary had major issues in 2020, and this addition certainly does not help things.
