Las Vegas Raiders 2021 Opponent Preview: Baltimore Ravens

Keys to Victory against Baltimore

The only way that the Raiders can come away with a victory in this one is to shut down Lamar Jackson, which is so much easier said than done. The bottom line is, Lamar has been one of the better players in the NFL since coming into the league, and already has an NFL Most Valuable Player award under his belt.

With the Raiders having so many new faces on the defensive side of the ball, this is a tough first matchup, but they do have the luxury of playing in the first game inside Allegiant Stadium with fans in attendance. While the Ravens could come away with the win, the home-field advantage is going to be real, and Gus Bradley has worked wonders with defenses before.

The Raiders come away with a victory in this one if the defensive line is better than advertised, and guys like Ngakoue and Maxx Crosby live in the backfield. Then, the offense has to move the ball against a tough Ravens defense, but if they can do so by eating up a lot of clock, and putting plays together late, there is no reason why this one can’t go down to the wire, and it is anybody’s game if that happens.
