Las Vegas Raiders: Updated 2021 53-man roster projection heading into the summer

Wide Receiver (6): John Brown, Henry Ruggs III, Bryan Edwards, Hunter Renfrow, Willie Snead, Zay Jones

Last season, Nelson Agholor burst onto the scene for the Raiders, becoming the top option at the position group, and earning a monster contract this offseason with the New England Patriots. To make up for Agholor’s exit, Las Vegas brought in two veterans in Willie Snead and John Brown, two players who should be solid contributors in 2021.

However, if this position group is to take the next step forward, they need either Henry Ruggs III or Bryan Edwards, two 2020 draft picks, to step up this Fall. Both Ruggs and Edwards have good skill sets to be dominant players at the next level, but they struggled through a tough and uncommon rookie season.

The expectation is that they take a step in the right direction this season, and become one of the better young tandems at the position in the division. Brown is going to be a solid addition, and Hunter Renfrow is always automatic, so despite losing Agholor, I actually believe there is more talent than there was a year ago at wide receiver.
