Las Vegas Raiders: Updated 2021 53-man roster projection heading into the summer

Tight End (3): Darren Waller, Foster Moreau, Derek Carrier

When it comes to the better position groups on this Raiders roster heading into the 2021 campaign, tight end would definitely be up there. Not only do they have one of the best three tight ends in the league in Darren Waller, but they also have solid depth behind him, and those faces should get more time now that Jason Witten is gone.

The biggest beneficiary of Witten retiring is Foster Moreau, who has done nothing but produce with the little playing time he has gotten the last two years. Moreau is a red-zone machine and will be a perfect No. 2 behind Waller as he is not only talented but still very young entering his third season.

Derek Carrier is the favorite to once again make the team in 2021, but I have my eyes on Matt Bushman, who the Raiders brought in as an undrafted free agent. If he has a solid summer, he has the physical gifts you look for in a depth tight end, and that could spell the end for Carrier in the Silver and Black.
