Las Vegas Raiders 2021 Opponent Preview: Miami Dolphins
Dolphins Subtractions
The Dolphins lost two key players on the defensive side of the ball in Kyle Van Noy, who went back to the Patriots, and Davon Godchaux, who went to New England as well. Godchaux was due $15 million, whereas Van Noy was due $12 million, so it makes sense why they let them go.
They also let go of a solid cornerback in Bobby McCain to the Redskins.
While the Dolphins gained a few good players, they let go of some aging veterans who still had some steam left in the tank in favor of some unproven rookies with major upside. This is a roster that has continued to move in the direction of youth, and in Brian Flores, they have a head coach who can seemingly get the best out of them.
Another notable loss is the safety net and quarterback, Ryan Fitzpatrick. The 39-year-old veteran walked out the door in favor of a Washington Football Team contract in D.C. Fitzpatrick came in when the rookie Tua Tagovailoa struggled, including that ridiculous throw against the Raiders that every fan wants to forget.
