Las Vegas Raiders: Surprising cut candidates at each position

Willie Snead, WR

This cut is one of many that I believe could happen with players that Las Vegas just brought in this off-season. The Raiders have solid depth at the wide receiver position, and although I would rather them cut Zay Jones, they for some reason continue to keep him on the roster.

The WRs that are a lock to stay on the team are John Brown, Henry Ruggs, Bryan Edwards, and Hunter Renfrow. The skillset that Snead brings to the team is nothing special, as I would prefer Hunter Renfrow in the slot, and prefer Brown and Ruggs’ speed over Snead.

Snead is a solid player, but he does not bring much to the table outside of taking opportunities away from the Raiders young players. He is a guy who could certainly make the team, but if the young players step up this summer, you have to think Jon Gruden is going to go with the youth that he drafted over a veteran like Snead.
