Las Vegas Raiders: 7 possible surprising cuts in 2021

Nick Martin, OL

Nick Martin is another new signing that I could see being released. The Raiders brought in Martin after trading star center Rodney Hudson, and many believed that Martin would take the role as the starting center.

After some time has passed, it is believed that Andre James will take that role, and with the drafting of Jimmy Morrissey, Martin could be in a battle for a roster spot. Drafting a center to be third-string would be odd to me, but nothing the Raiders do makes much sense it seems lately.

Martin has a ton of starting experience, and could very well end up beating out James and taking over for Hudson as the starting center. However, if he struggles, and James is as good as the franchise thinks he is, Martin could be gone as quickly as he arrived.
