Las Vegas Raiders: Surprising cut candidates at each position

Rasul Douglas, CB

I am not sure how everyone else feels about this addition, but I am a big fan of the Rasul Douglas pick-up. The Raiders do have a lot of young defensive backs that need playing time and that I want to see on the field, but in crunch time, when the game is on the line, I hate to see our young defensive backs throw the game away week after week.

I would love to see Douglas come in late in the game and make a play, as he was by no means a bad player in Carolina and outperformed most of our secondary last season. With that being said, the addition of Casey Hayward may spell the end for Rasul Douglas.

Although Douglas is a good player, the cornerback room is going to be filled, and there is a chance that he may not make the roster. Defensive backs are Bradley’s specialty, and if there is any way Douglas can help the Silver and Black in 2021, he stays, but that seems unlikely.
