Las Vegas Raiders: 3 veteran newcomers who could be cut before Week 1
Willie Snead, WR
We start on the offensive side of the ball within a position group that will have a few new faces this upcoming season. During the 2020 campaign, Nelson Agholor came in as an unheralded free agent signing and became a star, landing a huge contract with the New England Patriots this offseason.
To make up for the loss, the Raiders added two veterans in Willie Snead and John Brown, two guys who have had some success at the NFL level. While I believe that Brown is a shoo-in to make the team, the same cannot be said for Snead, who has struggled to stay consistent, and healthy during his NFL career.
In all honesty, the Raiders wide receiver group will be judged in 2021 by their second-year wideouts in Henry Ruggs III and Bryan Edwards, with Brown and Snead expected to bring veteran leadership. With Hunter Renfrow returning and Zay Jones’s relationship with Derek Carr, Snead could end up being the odd man out.
