Raiders have shown Carr plenty of loyalty

Since Gruden has returned to the franchise, much of the talk every offseason has centered around his relationship with Carr. Although they are neighbors, and the franchise has done nothing but bolster the roster around him, Carr being traded has been a rumor for each of the last four offseasons.

This offseason, Las Vegas was rumored to be in play for many elite signal-callers, including Aaron Rodgers and Deshaun Watson. Last offseason, it was Tom Brady, and in terms of the NFL Drafts under Gruden, the Raiders have seemingly been mocked a quarterback in the first round every year.

Even the early 2022 mocks have the Raiders going quarterback.

Despite all of this, the Raiders have done nothing but show Carr loyalty, whether it is in press conferences, or by the way they build the roster around him. They have had six first-round picks since Mike Mayock arrived, a big-time Carr supporter, and have neglected to select a quarterback in every draft since Gruden came back into the fold.

Overall, the Raiders have stated and proved that Carr is their guy.
