Las Vegas Raiders: Non-first round 2020 picks who must have an impact in 2021
By Alex Perl
The Las Vegas Raiders did not get much from their 2020 draft class last season, but two non-first-round picks could have a major impact in 2021.
The 2020 NFL Draft Day 2 and 3 draft picks provided a mixed bag for the Las Vegas Raiders. The non-first rounders were featured in more cameo roles outside of wide receiver Bryan Edwards, who struggled with injuries the majority of the season.
There was the bizarre saga of WR/RB Lynn Bowden, who was traded before even playing a down with the Raiders, and who flashed with the Miami Dolphins last season. Tanner Muse, who was a linebacker/safety hybrid, got injured early, and never played a live snap for the Silver and Black as well.
Rounding out the picks after Day 1 were Edwards, John Simpson from Clemson, and slot cornerback Amik Robertson. Las Vegas did not get much from any of them, but that must change during a 2021 campaign that is playoffs-or-bust for Jon Gruden and company.
With a full year under their belt (well at least for a few), the second-year players will look to finally feature and make an impact for the Raiders this season. We will take a look at a couple of non-first round Raiders from the 2020 class that should have a future and immediate impact with the Raiders.
