Las Vegas Raiders: 5 players that must perform for a 2021 playoff berth

Derek Carr

The war rages on about Derek Carr as he prepares to lead the team as he enters his 8th NFL season. Some believe that he isn’t the answer, and some believe he is holding the Las Vegas Raider organization back, but one thing is certain: his commitment to leading the Las Vegas Raiders to a Super Bowl victory.

The Raiders signal-caller is coming off a 2020 season where he played efficiently but was not consistently aggressive. Former Arizona Cardinals and St. Louis Rams Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner recently discussed that if the Fresno State alum can play more aggressively in a consistent manner, he can lead Las Vegas to the playoffs and potentially more.

The team goes as far as he goes, but he cannot do it alone. A few players on the defensive side of the ball must step up and be consistent high-level contributors week in and week out. After three straight 4,000-yard seasons, and completing close to 70 percent of his passes, Carr has proven he can put up stats, now he has to start stacking wins.
