Raiders roster: 2021 Post-minicamp 53-man roster prediction

Running Back

  • Josh Jacobs, Kenyan Drake, Jalen Richard, Alec Ingold

Josh Jacobs and Kenyan Drake should both see a lot of action, with Jacobs primarily functioning as the rushing back and Drake taking a lot of snaps as a receiving back. Jacobs will hopefully stay healthy all season and mimic the same type of production that he had in his rookie season.

The Drake signing was somewhat of a headscratcher. While he is a really talented player, Las Vegas paid a lot of money for him, and running back wasn’t really a need for this team. But Gruden and Jacobs are both ecstatic about having him on the roster, so it will be interesting to see what his production is like this season.

A few weeks ago, it was unknown whether or not Richard was going to get cut, as he removed anything relating to the team from his social media. But, with mandatory minicamp now over, Richard still remains a member of the team.

As long as he plays well during camp and limits his fumbles and dropped passes, he’ll likely make the roster this season, and of course, Ingold will be the team’s starting fullback.
