Raiders roster: 2021 Post-minicamp 53-man roster prediction

Tight End

  • Darren Waller, Foster Moreau, Derek Carrier

After having an explosive rookie year that ended in injury, Foster Moreau didn’t see the field much in 2021. This was because of the Jason Witten acquisition, which led to Moreau being pushed down a spot on the depth chart.

This year will be different though, as he will be able to work his way back into the spotlight now that Witten is gone.

In 2020, Darren Waller had a career year that proved he was a top-three tight end in the league. He led the team in receiving yards and receptions, with the latter setting a team record for the most receptions in a single season.

So, it’s safe to say that Waller will likely carry his success from 2020 into 2021.

Also, Derek Carrier will remain a veteran presence, a good blocker, and the occasional receiving threat for the team. He’ll especially be used when Gruden chooses to play out of a two or three tight end set.
