Las Vegas Raiders: Looking at some early 2022 NFL Mock Drafts

Pro Football Network – DeMarvin Leal, DT, Texas A&M

The lack of pressure on the interior has been a big concern for the Raiders and remains an issue heading into the 2021 season. Not only is there a lack of high-end talent, but the depth is not that great either.

So, regardless of what happens this season, it would be wise to invest more capital in defensive tackles.

Oliver Hodgkinson of Pro Football Network also sees this as an area of weakness for Las Vegas and has them selecting Texas A&M’s DeMarvin Leal at pick #13.

"“DeMarvin Leal is a dangerous defensive lineman who can line up anywhere across the line. He’s excelled at defensive end for Texas A&M but has the size to play defensive tackle in the NFL. In addition, Leal possesses excellent movement skills for his size and comes equipped with an array of pass-rush tools.”"

Leal has been a big name in this very early summer scouting season and is undoubtedly someone Raiders fans should keep an eye on. Because if he lives up to the hype, he could be precisely what this defensive line needs.
