Raiders roster: 3 new players who could be one-and-done in 2021
Willie Snead, WR
During the 2020 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders decided to add Henry Ruggs III in the first round, selecting the speedy wide receiver out of Alabama. In the third round, the Raiders used one of their three picks on South Carolina wideout Bryan Edwards, and the hope was that both would step in and play a big role as rookies.
Instead, Nelson Agholor became the WR1 for Derek Carr and this offseason, and thanks to injuries, inconsistent play, and COVID-19, it was a roller coaster ride of a rookie season for the two young wideouts. In 2021, Ruggs and Edwards will be expected to come to camp ready to assume their spots atop the depth chart, and that could leave a veteran like Willie Snead low on the list.
Las Vegas Raiders: Kolton Miller due for Pro Bowl nod in 2021
Las Vegas Raiders starting OT Kolton Miller has proven to be a franchise NFL left tackle. See how and why he will make the 2021 Pro Bowl in this article.
Snead has the ability to take the lid off a defense at times, but in a crowded wide receiver room, even if he does make the team, it will only be for one season. The expectation is that Ruggs, Edwards, and Hunter Renfrow can lead this wide receiver group for the foreseeable future, and that means a veteran like Snead could be looking for another home next offseason.
