During the 2020 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders not only selected a wide receiver in the first round, picking Henry Ruggs III from Alabama but then went back to the well in the third round. Holding three third-round picks, the Silver and Black made Bryan Edwards one of their selections, and he showed incredible physical gifts early on last summer.

Unfortunately, it was a whacky year for rookies, as they had to navigate a pandemic during their first season of professional football. When healthy, Edwards showed a nice array of skills on the outside, but with so many veterans coming in this season, he will likely not be in the starting lineup against Baltimore in Week 1.

However, both John Brown and Willie Snead are on one-year deals, and a year behind them will actually be the best-case scenario for Edwards. That will give him a chance to continue to learn the pro game, and hone his craft, setting the stage for him and Ruggs to be the top two wideouts on the depth chart at this time next year.
