Las Vegas Raiders: 3 offensive gambles that must pay off in 2021

The Raiders had a top-10 offense during the 2020 NFL season, and here are three gambles this offseason that must pay off in 2021 on that side of the ball.

During the 2020 NFL season, the Las Vegas Raiders struggled mightily on the defensive side of the ball, ranking as one of the worst units in football. On the other hand, the offense had another solid year with Derek Carr at quarterback, as he threw for over 4,000 yards, and both running back Josh Jacobs and tight end Darren Waller made their first Pro Bowl.

Overall, it was an exciting offense to watch at times, but the Raiders still faltered down the stretch in the end. In 2021, the hope is that the defense can take a step forward under new defensive coordinator Gus Bradley, but the offense also cannot afford to take a step backward in the process.

This offseason, the Raiders made a ton of moves to revamp their roster, and it remains to be seen whether or not they were the right ones. They changed up the personnel along the offensive line, while also adding some veterans to the wideout group, so the hope is the talent is there to finish in the top-10 once again.
