Las Vegas Raiders 2021 Training Camp preview: Wide Receiver
Who’s Here?
With Agholor gone, the Raiders went out and added two new veterans to the fold this offseason, bringing in both John Brown and Willie Snead. Both players will be given an opportunity to earn a major role with the team in 2021, though many believe Brown is more suited to jump in and take the place of Agholor.
Outside of Ruggs and Edwards, the Raiders also return their third-down specialist, as Hunter Renfrow returns for his third season in the Silver and Black. Since being a late-round selection out of Clemson, Renfrow has been automatic for quarterback Derek Carr and will assume his slot receiver role once again this season.
One name to keep an eye on is Zay Jones, who has developed a solid relationship with Carr, and some feel could be in line for a breakout season. Marcell Ateman and Keelan Doss return from last year’s team, and the Raiders also added some quality undrafted free agents as rookies in D.J. Turner and Dillon Stoner to name a few.
Overall, this is a deep group that will have some surprising cuts this summer.
