Las Vegas Raiders 2021 Training Camp Preview: Tight End

Who’s Here?

As stated earlier, Darren Waller leads an impressive group for the Raiders at the tight end position, one that could be one of the best in football this season. Waller racked up over 100 catches this past season, earning his first Pro Bowl nod, and outside of Travis Kelce and maybe George Kittle, there is no better tight end in the game right now.

Behind Waller last season was Witten, who has since retired again, clearing the way for another outstanding playmaker in Foster Moreau. A fourth-round pick of the Raiders back in 2019, Moreau showed flashes as a rookie, but saw his season end due to injury, before seeing his time cut by Jon Gruden and his staff last year.

However, when healthy, Moreau is a monster in the red zone, and he will be joined behind Waller once again by Derek Carrier, an outstanding blocking tight end. Outside of those three, the Raiders also made an interesting signing in undrafted free agent Matt Bushman, who was uber-productive at BYU and also have Nick Bowers and Alex Ellis in the fold heading into camp.
