Las Vegas Raiders 2021 Training Camp Preview: Tight End
Expectations
The expectation for this position group heading into the 2021 NFL season is to be one of the more complete units in all of football, playing a key role on what could be a special offense. We know how much Carr likes to throw to his tight ends, and now that Witten is out of the way, expect a breakout season from Moreau in Year 3.
Las Vegas has a lot to like on the offensive side of the ball, including Josh Jacobs at running back, but Waller is the straw that stirs the drink when it comes to this offense. A healthy Moreau will only make Waller even more productive, as he will have to be accounted for when both are on the field, unlike Witten last year.
Las Vegas Raiders: 3 biggest questions on offense entering the offseason
The Las Vegas Raiders have a ton of work to do on the defensive side of the ball this offseason, but the offense has their questions as well.
Overall, I believe that this group could be the best in football, as they are still very young, and seem to just be entering their prime. Waller could be an All-Pro this season, and when you think about a breakout candidate for this Raiders football team, a backup tight end could make a lot of noise for this offense in 2021.
