One player from each position to surprisingly make the Raiders roster

Wide Receiver: Marcell Ateman

It seems that every year there is a conversation about whether or not Marcell Ateman will make the roster, but he somehow continues to be with the team despite getting little to no playing time for the team.

My personal surprise to make the team at this position would be Zay Jones, as I have no clue why he continues to make the roster, but it appears that he could potentially be a lock to make the team at this point, so my next choice would be Ateman. Derek Carr loves Jones and feels he could break out this season, so him being on the roster seems like a foregone conclusion.

Ateman is another story, as he joined the Raiders in 2018 and has had big moments in the preseason, but has not had his chance in the regular season. I believe this year could be his chance, especially considering the Raiders’ only wide receiver with much size is Bryan Edwards.

The Raiders already have enough speed at the position, but they lack size, so why not finally give Ateman a legit shot?
