One player from each position to surprisingly make the Raiders roster

Offensive Lineman: Jimmy Morrissey

Many people may think Jimmy Morrissey will no doubt make the roster considering the Raiders used a draft pick on him, but being the seventh-round pick for the Raiders rarely guarantees a roster spot. The team already has two centers on the roster that are more proven than Morrissey in Andre James and Nick Martin, so the mountain is tough for him to crack the 53-man.

With that being said, I believe there is a good chance Morrissey could beat out Martin for that C2 spot. Martin was far from impressive last season, and I could see him being a big disappointment in camp, opening the door for Morrissey to make the team.

While he may have been a seventh-round pick, the coaching staff loves this guy, and he is going to get every opportunity to start the season on the active roster. The Raiders did spend big money on James, and Martin does have a lot of experience, but if there will be a shocker along the offensive line, it could be Morrissey earning the No. 2 spot at center.
