One player from each position to surprisingly make the Raiders roster
Linebacker: Javin White
The linebacker position is one where the Raiders appear to be set in terms of the starters, as Nicholas Morrow, Cory Littleton, and Nick Kwiatkoski should thrive in Gus Bradley’s defense. Littleton and Paul Guenther just did not gel, and with how good both Morrow and Kwiatkoski looked last season, this should be a strength for this defense in 2021.
Behind those three is a bit of a mystery, as the Raiders used third-round picks in consecutive drafts to add collegiate safeties who they plan on moving to linebacker. Both Tanner Muse and Divine Deablo are interesting prospects heading into this summer, but it could be a holdover who surprises everyone and makes the roster.
Javin White is a guy who played safety in college as well and made the move to linebacker last summer, and he was someone who really stood out. White ended up playing as a rookie, appearing in four games, and if Muse is still a project, and Deablo takes time to get used to the pro game, the second-year linebacker would be a great gap-filler at linebacker.
