Safety: Shaun Crawford

Finally, we come to the safety spot, which is a position that has the potential to be a real strength for this roster in 2021. The drafting of Tre’Von Moehrig was huge, and fills the void at free safety, while Johnathan Abram will have to stave off former first-round pick Karl Joseph to remain the answer at strong safety this summer.

Still, there is more depth here than there was last year, and even players outside of Abram, Joseph, and Moehrig could bring solid contributions this season. One player is undrafted free agent Shaun Crawford, who had a roller coaster of a career at Notre Dame, but comes with a championship pedigree, and is one of the more NFL-ready UDFAs available this year.

In reality, he would need to beat out Dallin Leavitt to make the roster, who seems to be added surprisingly every year, but he has enough talent to do just that.

Overall, this is going to be an exciting summer in Henderson, Nevada, as the Raiders look to get the best team in line to take on the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1. The Raiders seem to revamp this roster every offseason, and the hope is, they finally got it right between the draft, undrafted free agents, and free agency.
