Las Vegas Raiders: 5 potential cut candidates the team could sign this summer
Jayron Kearse, S, Dallas Cowboys
The Las Vegas Raiders have brought in a lot of safety help this off-season, but outside of Tre’Von Moehrig, there are a lot of questions surrounding every player at the position. Johnathan Abram struggled heavily last season and is someone who is under a lot of pressure to live up to his first-round draft slot in Year 3.
Karl Joseph is hit or miss, though he was playing his best football with the Raiders before leaving for the Cleveland Browns in free agency, and will be used as insurance for Abram at strong safety. There there is Tyree Gillespie, who was a mid-round draft pick in 2021, and we still have to see what the team will get out of him.
Jayron Kearse is nothing special by any means, but he would be good depth for the team, and would most likely be used mostly in special teams unless the team is hit with injuries. Depth is key at all positions for the Raiders, as we saw last season, and Kearse is someone they could plugin and gets solid play from if needed.
