Las Vegas Raiders: 3 under-the-radar players to keep an eye on in training camp

De’Vante Bausby

De’Vante Bausby has been an afterthought addition to the Raiders secondary, but the six-year veteran cornerback has played well in moments during his career, most notably with the Denver Broncos.

Bausby bounced around the league for a while before playing in the AAF and getting his chance to shine. He made the Broncos out of camp and played some before landing on the injured reserve. Bausby offers solid depth as a backup with good size that the Raiders covet.

In his career, Bausby has 59 tackles and 8 passes defended. However, he has been notably sticky in coverage.

Bausby seems to be competing with Keisean Nixon, Isaiah Johnson, Rasul Douglas, and Amik Robertson for the final spot at the cornerback position. The fact that the team signed him in later June means the Raiders have some reservations about their depth.

Bausby’s experience will give him a chance to make the team if he plays well during camp and the young cornerbacks struggle. He seems destined for one of the veteran practice squad spots
