Las Vegas Raiders: 3 bold predictions for Derek Carr in 2021

Set career-high in touchdowns

In only his second season in the NFL, the 2015 campaign when he was a 24-year old Pro Bowler, Carr would throw 32 touchdowns, which is still the most he has ever thrown in a season. That year, Carr led the team to a seven-win campaign, relying on the tremendous combination of Michael Crabtree and Amari Cooper at the wide receiver spot.

Cooper and Crabtree combined for 15 touchdown receptions that season, and Seth Roberts added five more, giving him three legitimate options on the outside. Overall, Carr tossed touchdowns to ten different players, spreading the ball all around the field while running Bill Musgrave’s offense.

In 2021, Carr has no shortage of weapons either, with John Brown and Willie Snead joining the fold, and the hope that Ruggs and Bryan Edwards take a major step in Year 2. Also, Hunter Renfrow is solid, and the tight end duo of Foster Moreau and Darren Waller should be impact players in the red zone.

When you throw Drake and Jacobs in the mix, this could be the year Carr sets his career-high in touchdown passes.
