Las Vegas Raiders: 53-man roster prediction entering 2021 training camp

Offensive Line: Kolton Miller, Alex Leatherwood, Brandon Parker, Richie Incognito, Denzel Good, John Simpson, Andre James, Nick Martin, Jimmy Morrissey

Everyone knows about changes made to the offensive line this offseason, but that won’t stop it from being a huge news story until we see them perform, but let’s start with the known commodities. Kolton Miller has established himself as a good starting tackle, and Richie Incognito is a proven veteran next to him, two players who be anchors for the group in 2021.

Denzelle Good filled in nicely when Incognito got hurt early in the 2020 season and, at this point, has earned the trust necessary to be a full-year starter at right guard. Those three seem to be locks heading into training camp, and now to the question marks.

Andre James will be filling huge shoes by replacing Rodney Hudson, one of the elite centers in football, and with only one career start under his belt, we’ll see if James is ready to carry the mantle. Then there is the first-round pick Alex Leatherwood, who was the latest of what has become a yearly tradition of controversial draft picks for Las Vegas.

The obvious hope for the Raiders fans is he will become something similar to Miller, who was also a head-scratching pick by many. Tom Cable stuck his neck out for Leatherwood much like he did Miller, so it’ll be interesting to see if he can strike gold twice.

For backups, everyone needs to be ready because injuries on the offensive line are quite common. Brandon Parker has been with the team for a few years and should have a strong mental grasp of the offense by now. John Simpson was a borderline top-100 pick last year, so the Raiders are invested in him.

Lastly, I think Nick Martin and Jimmy Moirrsey both make the roster at the center, but if one of the two is cut, it wouldn’t be shocking.
