Las Vegas Raiders: 53-man roster prediction entering 2021 training camp
Linebackers: Nick Kwiatkowski, Cory Littleton, Nicholas Morrow, Divine Deablo, Tanner Muse
The Raiders spent a ton of money last offseason to bring in Nick Kwiatkoski and Cory Littleton, but the result fell a bit flat in year one. Nevertheless, the team still expects them to be key defense pieces and greatly improve in 2021.
Nicholas Morrow was one of the few defensive players that actually played well in 2020, so I expected him to be a starter as well and hopefully build off last season.
Behind them, I see Divine Deablo being the main backup and wouldn’t be surprised if he forces his way into a bigger role rather quickly.
With only having space for one more linebacker, I went with Tanner Muse over someone like Darren Lee simply because the Raiders have more invested in Muse. He’s a guy who will contribute on special teams and was still a top 100 pick by the front office, and at this point, I’m not sure Lee provides much other than the speed at the position.
Plus, he has not played much football the past two seasons.
