Las Vegas Raiders: 53-man roster prediction entering 2021 training camp

Special Teams: Daniel Carlson, A.J. Cole, Trent Sieg

There won’t be any changes when it comes to the specialist due to the huge improvements the Raiders made last year in this area. They ranked 13th in special teams dvoa in 2020 after being 25th in 2019, a tremendous leap by any measure.

No one exemplified this jump better than Daniel Carlson, who only missed two field goals in 2020 compared to the seven from the previous season. Since becoming a Raider, Carlson has become one of the better young kickers in the NFL, and the expectation is another big step forward in 2021.

A.J. Cole, on the other hand, will be looking to improve his yards per punt which ranked near the bottom of the league, and Trent Sieg is in a position where the less you hear about him, the better because that means he’s doing his job well.

This is a young group that will all be back in 2021, giving the Raiders stability at three positions where it is crucial.
