Las Vegas Raiders: 53-man roster prediction entering 2021 training camp
Tight End: Darren Waller, Foster Morneau, Derek Carrier
Unlike the wide receiver position, there is proven and elite talent in the tight end room, and it starts with Darren Waller. Waller comes into this season as one of the premier tight ends in the entire league the past few seasons, and there is no reason to think he won’t continue to dominate.
Look for him to surpass the double-digit touchdown mark this season.
Let’s also not sleep on Foster Moreau, who could be a much bigger part of the offense this year with Jason Witten not on the roster. He showed a bunch of promise in his rookie year, and if he can remain healthy, there is no reason why he won’t be an absolute threat in the red zone in Year 3.
Derek Carrier is the primary blocker of the group, as the Raiders have nice depth in 2021 to accommodate the star power of Waller. Overall, this is a group that is talented and deep, and on an offense with question marks at wide receiver, expect Derek Carr to lean on the tight ends in a big way.
