Las Vegas Raiders: Early takeaways from the start of 2021 training camp
By Brad Weiss
We are only two days into training camp, but players are starting to stand out, and the Las Vegas Raiders have a lot to be excited about.
On Wednesday, the Las Vegas Raiders kicked off their 2021 training camp, a summer that is going to answer a lot of questions in terms of this roster. This offseason, the Raiders once again did a major overhaul of the roster, revamping the offensive line, adding talent via the NFL Draft and free agency, and trading away some key pieces.
As the players descended on Henderson, Nevada, the Raiders have more talent than they have had in quite some time, and expectations are high as Jon Gruden enters his fourth season back with the team. He has had the say in terms of personnel, and while the Raiders have improved in the win column through the last two seasons, they still fell short of their goal of making the playoffs.
With training camp starting, we are already starting to see what this team could look like in Week 1 against Baltimore, and a lot of it has been positive. Las Vegas has some elite players on both sides of the ball, and have addressed a lot of their issues this offseason, making this summer an exciting one in the desert.
As we inch closer to the first preseason game, let us take a look at some early takeaways through the first two days of camp.
