Las Vegas Raiders: 3 trades to send Marcus Mariota to the Indianapolis Colts
As with the first scenario, the Colts get a quarterback they need, and the Raiders get a cornerback they need. T.J. Carrie was drafted by the then-Oakland Raiders, leaving the franchise in free agency after the 2017 campaign, and then landing in Indianapolis. Under coach Matt Eberflus, Carrie has been a big part of the Colts’ success in recent years.
Developing from a mostly zone player to a man-to-man player, Carrie has seen a lot of playing time in the past two years. Last season, he was a full-time starter on a defense with a lot of talent.
He intercepted two passes and allowed only two touchdowns last season as he played left and right cornerback positions covering the Z and X receivers. He had six pass breakups and held opposing passers to an 80 rating, while also posting eight tackles for a loss as well.
Carrie returning to the Raiders as a more well-rounded player would be beneficial to Bradley and the secondary in a big way.
