Las Vegas Raiders: 5 bold training camp predictions in 2021
Dillon Stoner beats out Willie Snead for a roster spot
Dillon Stoner is a rookie wide receiver out of Oklahoma State who was an undrafted free agent pickup that Las Vegas brought in post draft, and he seems to be one of those guys that is quietly impressing a lot of people during his training camp. Remember, this is a wide receiver group that is wide open this summer, and Stoner brings a lot to the table.
In his 2020 season at Oklahoma State, Stoner was the team’s second-best receiver. He finished his season with an impressive 573 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 42 receptions. This all came on an offense that was primarily focused on running the ball with Chuba Hubbard.
So far, during training camp and the rookie mini-camp, only good things have been said about Stoner. If Las Vegas likes his skillset and see him as a prospect that can grow into a good target for Carr, then Las Vegas might give him Willie Snead‘s roster spot, as Snead seems like the most expendable wide receiver out of the top six on the team.
