3 worst contracts for the Las Vegas Raiders for the 2021 season
By Brad Weiss
The Las Vegas Raiders have certainly had their fair share of terrible contracts in recent years, but these are the three worst deals on the current roster.
In the recent history of the Las Vegas Raiders franchise, the organization has struggled to find the right players, whether it is in the NFL Draft, or via free agency. They have also traded away some big-name players, specifically Khalil Mack, who is on a beeline for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Throughout the past few seasons, the team has stacked draft picks, while also throwing around some money in free agency. While they have landed with a few of the players, a lot of what they have done has been misses and looking at the salary cap, changes will be coming if this franchise does not turn the corner.
Of course, one could argue that Jon Gruden’s contract is the worst in terms of the franchise, but his money does not count against the cap. Gruden is in Year 4 of a 10-year/$100 million contract, and the time is now for him to start putting up more wins than losses and pushing this franchise over the .500 mark.
With that said, let us look at the three worst contracts on the 2021 roster.
