3 worst contracts for the Las Vegas Raiders for the 2021 season
No. 1: Cory Littleton, Linebacker
When the Las Vegas Raiders signed Cory Littleton last offseason, it was seen as a stroke of genius from general manager Mike Mayock. Coming off another tremendous season with the Los Angeles Rams, Littleton was supposed to come in and be that difference-maker on defense that this franchise has been lacking since the Khalil Mack trade.
Instead, Littleton struggled mightily for the Raiders, and whether it was defensive coordinator Paul Guenther’s scheme or just his bad play, the fact is, he has to be better. The Raiders are actually pretty deep at linebacker this year, and Tanner Muse is starting to turn heads, so it is time for Littleton to not only play up to his contract but also to step up and be a leader of this group moving forward.
The Las Vegas Raiders are a week into training camp and here are five players trending up based on reports from Henderson.
Of course, if Littleton looks anything like the player he was in Los Angeles, then this is a great contract, as the Raiders have a devastating playmaker on the defensive side of the ball. However, if he plays like he did last year, then the Silver and Black will be looking to desperately get out of this contract next offseason.
