Las Vegas Raiders: 3 bold predictions for 2021 preseason Game No. 1

Raiders register three-plus sacks

A lot has been made of all the changes the Raiders made to the defensive line this offseason, whether it is coming off the edge, or in the middle. On Saturday night, we will get to see some of the new additions in person, and I believe they are going to get some good push against this Seahawks offensive line.

In fact, I like the Raiders defensive line to get off to a big start, getting to the quarterback at least three times. Smith has a tendency to hold onto the ball for too long, and that leads to sacks, so my expectation is that some of the younger pass rushers and veteran defensive tackles will get enough push to get in his face early and often.

There is a lot to keep an eye on tonight, especially those younger players looking to carve out roles on this Raiders roster. We are not going to see a lot of the stars lining up on either side of the ball, giving those bubble players a chance to really show what they can do at the next level.
