The Las Vegas Raiders defeated the Seattle Seahawks 20-7 in preseason game No. 1, and we take a look at five takeaways from the victory.

The Las Vegas Raiders kicked off their 2021 preseason slate in style on Saturday night, welcoming the Seattle Seahawks to Allegiant Stadium and dominating on both sides of the ball. It was the first time fans were allowed inside the new building for a preseason or regular-season game, and the Silver and Black did not disappoint.

Here we take a look at five takeaways from the 20-7 victory.

Javin White is on a mission

One player who really stood out the last offseason was linebacker Javin White, a product of UNLV who ended up playing in four games during the regular season. This offseason, the Raiders have done a nice job adding talent at the linebacker position, making White’s quest for a roster spot even tougher, but he appears to be up for the challenge.

White was all over the field last night, hitting everything that moved, and he ended the game with six tackles, including five solo, which led the team. While he was atop the stat sheet, the numbers do not tell the whole story, and one thing is for sure, White is on a mission to be in the rotation at linebacker this season.
