Las Vegas Raiders: 2021 53-man roster prediction after preseason Game No. 1

Tight End (3): Darren Waller, Foster Moreau, Derek Carrier

Gruden loves this group, and there is no doubt about it. The only way he would love it more is if Jason Witten was still a part of it somehow, and what makes Gruden love this group so much is because of how versatile they are.

For example, Darren Waller is a fantastic route runner and pass catcher. Usually, tight ends with those traits aren’t always the best blocker, except Waller is a pretty good blocker when he needs to be. Moreau and Carrier are really great run blockers, yet they can still go out and get a reception when they need to.

Also, while those two might not be the fastest guys on the field, Carr can still trust their hands to make a tough grab.

Everyone knows that Gruden loves his multiple tight end sets, as it lets him really work the run game while also giving him the chance to mix it up with some play-action passes. So, in 2021, look for this group to be a major part of the offense.
