Las Vegas Raiders: 2021 53-man roster prediction after preseason Game No. 1

Defensive End (5): Clelin Ferrell, Maxx Crosby, Yannick Ngakoue, Malcolm Koonce, Carl Nassib

Maxx Crosby and Yannick Ngokoue are almost certainly going to be the Las Vegas’ starters in week one, but, that doesn’t mean that the rest of this group won’t see the field. Clelin Ferrell in particular should still get a lot of playing time.

He looked good in this first preseason game, and his ability to play the edge or the interior of the defensive line should make him a valuable asset to Gus Bradley.

Malcolm Koonce will most likely be a developmental piece and pass rush specialist for Las Vegas. Time will tell if he can be a serious producer this season or if he’ll need more time to mature as a serious edge-rushing threat.

Carl Nassib still has a pretty hefty contract to sit the bench most games. Expect Las Vegas to work him in on occasion. Hopefully, in this new system, he can be the player Las Vegas was expecting to get when they signed him.
