Las Vegas Raiders: Seahawks game shows depth at wide receiver

Returning duo stood out on Saturday night

Led by Zay Jones, who coaches, and quarterback, Derek Carr continue to rave about, the Raiders receivers showed that there is not a player among them that does not deserve to be on an NFL roster.

In Jones’ limited playing time, as he seems to be a lock for the roster once again, as he caught all three of his targets and totaled 57 yards. Zay continues to improve physically, looking quicker than the previous season. His consistent strong rapport with Derek Carr has yet to pay big dividends in the regular season, but Jones is looking like he could finally change that this upcoming year.

Keelan Doss continues to impress, picking up right where he left off in the 2019 preseason. Doss reeled in all six of his targets from Peterman on Saturday night, amassing 55 total yards. The undrafted free agent signing of two years ago is proving the Raiders right for opening the checkbook to bring him back when he signed to the Jaguars practice squad following his breakout in 2019.

With the logjam of talent the Raiders have at receiver, there is a real chance that Doss will be playing elsewhere this season, as he is too good at this point to be kept on the practice squad.
