Dallin Leavitt

For the past few summers, many have been wondering why Dallin Leavitt continues to make the Raiders 53-man roster. Hate that all you like, but the fact is, the coaching staff must see something in him that he is one of the more surprising survivors at the end of the more recent camps.

On Saturday, Leavitt had a rough go against Seattle, as his missed tackle led to the only points the Seahawks would score, and was a huge blemish on a dominating effort on that side of the ball. The truth is, the Raiders may have added too much talent for Leavitt to hang on this time around, and plays like that are not going to help him.

At safety, Las Vegas brought in Tre’Von Moehrig in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, and decided to bring back Karl Joseph via free agency. Also, Tyree Gillespie was drafted in the fourth round, and Shaun Crawford was added as an undrafted free agent, so unless Leavitt shows out over the next few weeks, he could be back on the practice squad.
