This offseason, the Las Vegas Raiders added plenty of talent to the defense, and the hope is that the team can finally get it done on that side of the field.

The Las Vegas Raiders were busy this offseason bringing in a couple of star players in positions of need. Last year, the secondary was one of the worst in the NFL and the pass rush was just as bad outside of Maxx Crosby.

The front office brought in players like Casey Hayward, Quinton Jefferson, Solomon Thomas, Yannick Ngakoue, and most recently Gerald McCoy. They also resigned Nicholas Morrow, Johnathon Hankins, and Karl Joseph.

On paper, this defense has savvy veterans mixed with young players that still have something to prove in the NFL.

The Raiders also went out and grabbed one of the best defensive coordinators, who led the Legion of Boom in Seattle, one of the better defenses we have seen recently. Gus Bradley was brought in to develop the young talent on the defensive side of the ball, specifically the young secondary of Trayvon Mullen, Damen Arnette, Johnathan Abram, and Clelin Ferrell.

With that said, let us look at some defensive categories, and which players could stand out this season statistically.
